This is what you see something floating

You can something floating in the sky which is colorless ,tiny and moving.Believe it or not it is not floating in the sky it is floating in your eyes.They are called as floaters.

Floaters are transparent deposits of various sizes ,shapes,refractive index and consistency.It exists as a layer in the eye.This gel layer in the eye consists 90% of water and 1% solid element.They always exists in our eye.How is it possible to see them?

Actually we are not seeing the floater itself  but we are seeing it's shadow.It always keep moving and it is impossible to focus on it.Floaters are visible due to the cast of their shadow in the retina of our eye.It moves in the direction of the eye ball movement and follow the rapid movement of the eye.

When you notice them it seems you look it directly,however you look at it you are looking it's shadow.When you try to focus on them t seems to disappear.When you move your eye in some direction the floaters keep moving in the same direction.

Floaters are visible when looking at the blank surface or open spaces particularly the blue sky.In the blue sky due to the brightness the pupil of our eye contracts,which causes the reduction in aperture.So the floaters seems to be less blurry and easier to see it.
